World's Strongest Toddler...

What do you do when you can see one of your favorite toys under a chair, but can't quite reach it?
Why, lift the chair, of course!
And yes, he lifted it himself... probably would have flipped it over if not for the fireplace in the way!

Oreos...

DD loves Oreos. Lately they have become somewhat of an obsession for her. It wouldn't be so bad except that she can't seem to eat them in a nice, lady-like fashion. She generally needs a bath when she's done!

The Birthday Boy!

Here are a few pics of the birthday boy before he headed off to school that morning. Notice the special sweatshirt Grandma P. made for him?

Yes We Can

"... This is our moment. This is our time - to put our people back to work and open doors of opportunity for our kids; to restore prosperity and promote the cause of peace; to reclaim the American Dream and reaffirm that fundamental truth - that out of many, we are one; that while we breathe, we hope, and where we are met with cynicism, and doubt, and those who tell us that we can't, we will respond with that timeless creed that sums up the spirit of a people:

Yes We Can. Thank you, God bless you, and may God Bless the United States of America."

-President Barack Obama's election night speech in Grant Park

Happy 3rd Birthday, DS!

Today our baby boy turns 3! It's hard to believe! He is all boy- climbing, running, screaming and jumping at every turn. But he is also so loving and cuddly- he is definitely a momma's boy! We are so proud of him and love him so much.
Happy birthday DS!

And thank you Grandpa Joe for this wonderful picture of him from Christmas. We love it- it's already in a frame in our living room!

These Are So Wrong...

These cards are so wrong... but they still made me laugh! Better than a lame Hallmark card if you ask me!
Take a look!

2009 Resolutions... Do I Dare?

Generally I don't make resolutions... at least I don't announce them aloud. That way when I break them by noon on the 1st, I'm not ashamed. But I thought I should post a couple... just to keep myself honest.
1. I'm not going to say lose weight because we ALL say that and it doesn't usually happen. I would, however, like to change my eating habits a bit and also give up pop (again). Since I'm already drinking a Mountain Dew this morning... this one is pretty much broken, but there's always tomorrow, right?
2. Research more therapies and treatments for the kids... enough said.
3. Get our house and finances in order. We have lived here two years... we still have stuff that needs to be unpacked. I would love to eliminate the couple rooms we have that I'm ashamed for guests to see.
4. Loosen up about leaving the kids with other people... try to get away for a night or two with hubby.
Hope everyone had a great New Years Eve!
